Terms of use
Last updated: 3 November 2026
In short: kunji is free, open-source software provided as it is. You use your own API keys, so you are responsible for your accounts and bills with each AI provider.
The software licence
The kunji app is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. You may use, copy, change and share it under that licence. If anything on this page conflicts with the licence, the licence wins.
Your API keys and provider accounts
- kunji connects to AI providers using keys you supply. Your use of each provider is governed by that provider's own terms, usage policies and prices.
- You pay providers directly. Cost figures, budgets and warnings in kunji are estimates based on public price lists and may be wrong or out of date. Always check your provider's billing page; kunji is not responsible for charges.
- Keep your keys secret. Anyone with your key can use your provider account.
Acceptable use
Don't use kunji to break the law, to break an AI provider's terms or usage policies, or to harm other people or systems.
AI output
Answers come from third-party AI models, not from the kunji project. They can be wrong, incomplete or unsafe. Check important answers yourself before relying on them, especially for legal, medical, financial or security decisions, and before running any command a model suggests.
No warranty
kunji is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, as set out in sections 7 and 8 of the Apache License 2.0. To the extent the law allows, the kunji contributors are not liable for any damages or losses from using the software or this website.
Name and logo
The licence covers the code, not the kunji name or logo. You're welcome to fork the project, but please give your fork a different name so people aren't confused.
Future paid features
Everything that runs on your own computer stays free. If optional paid cloud features are offered later, they will come with their own clear terms and pricing before anyone is asked to pay.
Changes
These terms may be updated. The date at the top shows the latest version, and changes are noted in the changelog.
